The first time I ever visited Tuross Head was on a rainy day. I had been holidaying a little further South and as the inclement weather meant no beach time, we hopped in the car and took a drive to explore the area. On a whim, I turned into Tuross Head, not knowing what to expect and as they say… the rest is history.
The beauty of this idyllic little town is marvelling, nestled between Coila Lake to the north and Tuross Lake and Tuross River to the south and meeting the ocean with its majestic Norfolk Island Pines.
Sitting in a quaint waterfront café enjoying lunch and watching the rain make patterns in the lake surface, changing its hues from vibrant turquoise to soft greens, it felt like it was the perfect place.
Tuross Head is that sort of place. Its charm embraces you- no matter the weather, no matter the time of year. So I kept coming back… to enjoy all the delights this seaside hamlet has to offer…the water-based activities, the coastal walks and cycle way, the friendly locals, the sunset picnics and the fun-filled day trips.
